(Happy Birthday, Corinne!)
Love seeing rainbows!
Mom wanted pancakes for breakfast. We stopped at Hungry Jack which I think is Burger King?
Everywhere we go, you use devices/QR code to order/pay....less and less interaction. Covid related I'm sure. A bit concerning to me as I worry about our connections to people.
Spent some time at the Australian Museum. My favorite section was learning about the Indigenous Peoples of Australia. As we know, the Indigenous Peoples are colonized by the white people. In Australia, many of the children were taken from the indigenous families for many decades and placed in government institutions or fostered or adopted by white families. There was no reason for the white people to take the aboriginal children away. The families were able to care for their children.
At Circular Quay, where we take the ferry to different parts of Sydney. This is a really happening spot.
Mom wanted an apple pie. This group of people wanted a selfie for a challenge their friend put them through. They had to take selfies with different people born in different decades.
Took the ferry to Watsons Bay. Ferry rides are always fun.
A favorite item: fish and chips. We ate outside and birds kept trying to sweep in and take our food! I held my knife ready to swipe at them! LoL!
Took a walk along the coast toward Bondi Beach...but we didn't walk all the way there!
Instead we took the bus!
A walk through Bondi Beach area. Love the murals, the waves, the surfers, the walk, thrifting (again! Though didn't purchase).
Loved this building! Queen Victoria Building. Stained glass windows! Grandness. Color. Beautiful things to look at. High end stores and not things I'd spend money on.
Trying another recommended gelato spot. Super soft gelato and yummy too. I think I like Messina more.
Only one more day in Sydney before we fly home. Kind of ready for a reset at home.
What shall we do tomorrow?
