How is it that I've never been to Little Tokyo in LA? Lots to see and eat. Started off at a match place.
Ate at Pasta e Pasta by Allegro. Seems weird to eat pasta in Little Tokyo, but this award winning place originated in Japan. Their specials are the uni pasta and the mushroom pasta. Both yummy. I ordered the mushroom as uni isn't quite my favorite, but I tried Corinne's dish and it was good! Only had one third of the plate and boxed the rest for dinner.
Our topic of conversation at this meal was BOYS/MEN/PARTNERS! How singles meet people now. What drew us to our partners. Whether we care about seeking a partner. What are we hoping for in partners? What do parents hope for their children? Just great convo and laughter!
We sent Joanne off to get ready for the Black Pink Concert! LOVED her black and pink nails. Wish I had gotten a picture of them. It's okay..embedded in my memory. Seems like a lot of people from NorCal came down to SoCal for the Black Pink concert! This group is a sensation!
So many cute shops in Little Tokyo. A line to get into the Sanrio store! How I loved Sanrio when I was a kid! Having a Sanrio pencil case, eraser or anything was SO SPECIAL!
Had to try the red bean cake made fresh at Mitsuru Cafe. Kim ordered the takoyaki which looked great...but my tummy was full of pasta.
Note: No bathrooms in the Village! Had to go to Starbucks where there was a long line.... Decided to go back to Pasta e Pasta, but they were closed. Drove 20 minutes to Citadel Outdoor Mall to look for a restroom. And of course, while there, we went shopping!
