We took the red eye (flight at 11 PM) to Fort Lauderdale and arrived at 6 AM in the morning. The idea is to sleep in the plane, but you know how that is.
We arrived in Florida and the airport was busy on this Thursday morning! The Holiday In Express had a shuttle that came to pick us up and it was quite convenient.
We checked into the Holiday In Express and left our bags at the hotel, because at 9AM, the rooms weren't ready for us yet. So we went to eat brunch at a diner close by.
After brunch, we went back to the Holiday and crashed in their lobby area. Everyone was wiped out.
We checked into the room and slept some more. Thank goodness for sleep.
After everyone woke up, we took a practice walk to the port where we would board the ship. It was close by, 15 minutes, and simple. We could've paid $15/person for a shuttle, but it was definitely close enough. We were fine pushing dad in the wheelchair. Walked by Walgreens and Dollar Store to get some snacks and stuff.
Mom wanted pho for dinner, but the closest thing to that was Thai that was in walking distance. Good choice because dinner was delicious. Three curries, pad thai, pad siew, and vegetables. Everyone was satisfied.

Happy Birthday, Reanna!
A very smooth and easy check in process. On our last cruise to Alaska, the checkin was a bit of a nightmare with extremely long lines, so were pretty happy with this check in.

When I walk past the screens by the elevators, my name and birthday decorations come up! I'll be celebrating my birthday on the cruise.
We checked out the spa and some people purchased some treatments, not me.
I'm just trying the thermal bed here.
